They(the Press) seem to believe that Federer should not have won or should have conceeded to Roddick. Who the hell is Roddick? If you go to Wimbledon and are not up to snuff, you will leave empty-handed or without the aim of your visit. Either way, you're not leaving with the coveted gold cup! Turning our attention to the supposed heart of the whole furor, the Pete Sampras record that stoof for some years. So Pete had a record and now it is broken.I didn't see him crying or upset. But what the American Press seemed to want was the record to stand and Roddick to win sealing the fate of Federer not to eclipse the achievement of Pete while retaining glory for America. Why should he? And to you Andy, I really never cared for you as an athlete. Way too pompious with little or nothing to show! You actually complained when Federer spoke to you and said that he has 5 titles. So I guess that he should have GIVEN you this one. That was just tacky. But you are an American and that is probably the explanation for that.
I am real sorry that Nadal was out because you would have not gotten that far and all this foolishness would never have happened. Simple!
America needs to listen to their President regarding the view of their country in the eyes of the remainder of the world. People are sick of their acting out at every potential(real or perceived)chance they get to do so. Being synical or un-necessarily critical of others, self-righteous and downright petty. The world is basically sick of you. Let me with that say that Mr.McEnroe should be released as a commentator. He is too biased and ignortant. And for someone who was the absolute WORST behaved player in the modern history of the game, in my eyes, he has zero credibility to be talking the sort of slackness that he does. Roddick can only hit hard. He has no real shots, no real game play, and no head! He is all about wacking down the opponent with his big serve. If you break his serve at all, he's dead meat! Add to that, the fact that after 4 hrs plus of game play, he didn't seem to be tired makes me wonder if he is now in the league of Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire and Flo-Jo. Seems like these US athletes will stop at nothing to win. Fortunately,(or not)that kind of model is un-sustainable and they quickly bow out with phantom injuries or other "smoke-puff" excuses when they are about to be discovered.
The long and short is this:

Wimbledon is done!
Federer won!
Roddick lost!
Nike capitalizes!
History is written!
Everything else related is MOOT!
