An All Williams Final

The Williams sister's both won their respective semi-final matches to set up a meeting in the Women's Wimbledon final which has been on the cards for a few days now so it did not come as a complete shock to see both the Williams sisters make it through.

Neither sister had too much trouble going through in straight sets as Venus defeated Elena Dementieva 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) while Serena toppled China’s Zheng Jie 6-2, 7-5.

With no Justine Henin and many of the top seeds dropping like flies there was a certain inevitability to this years Women's tournament although to their credit Serena and Venus have performed well this year on grass and have done everything that has been asked of them.

Despite stories to the contrary both Women will undoubtedly be giving it their all once the final gets underway with Venus probably the slight favourite with her greater experience on centre court.
